As the UK’s only CPD and IWGE Accredited White Goods Repair Training Centre, The White Goods Training Academy was set-up to help fill the skills gap that exists in this sector. Our aim is to increase understanding and knowledge of current appliances, fault finding, diagnosis and repair to enable newly qualified appliance service engineers to start their new career with confidence and the skills they need.

Our Domestic Appliance Repair Training Centre?
Our training is mainly hands on in the training centre. Not only will you learn high level technical information on multi brand domestic white goods. This will help you to understand the theory behind components and their testing. You will then be able to take this newly gained knowledge to the workshop where you will gain hands on experience working on a variety of current appliances and learn the different test required to diagnose faults and ensure the appliance is safe on completion.
All the skills you learn for fault finding and testing of components on Washing Machines and Tumble Dryers can be transferred to testing and fault finding on Dishwashers, Ovens, and Microwaves and that’s why these can easily be included in our 224 Level 2, Consumer Electrical Appliance Repair & Servicing Training Course.
Our trainers are White Goods Service Engineer which puts us in the best position to provide up to date and relevant training, as we know what issues affect the market and can pass that priceless information onto you.

How do I get to the training centre
By Road
Barton upon Humber is located of the A15 which connects to the M180, M18, A1 or M1
By Air
If travelling by plane flights to Manchester airport offer a train connection to Hull then a bus across to Barton or a 1 hour 15 minute drive via car hire.
The other options are Leeds Bradford airport then a 40 minute drive via car hire.
or Humberside airport and a 15 minute taxi or car hire to Barton.
By Train
Barton upon Humber has a train station and connection can be made to travel here directly. Alternativly a train to Hull and a short bus ride across to Barton.
