Appliance Repair Training Course
Here at The Institute for White Goods Engineers we offer a number of appliance repair and field service training courses through our training arm The Whitegoods Training Academy.
Our courses are for anyone wanting training as an Appliance Repair or Field service Engineer.
No previous experience is required.
The 224 Appliance Repair & Service Training Course covers:
Health and Safety including risk assessments, Hands on training in the workshops on the following: Portable Appliance Testing, Use of multimeters, Insulation Resistance Meters, Earth Loop Testers, Basic Plumbing & Electrics, Appliance Installation, Washing Machines including bearing changes, Washer Dryers, Tumble Dryers, Dishwashers, Electric Ovens and Cookers, Microwaves and Fridge Freezers including re-gassing and jointing with Lokring.
We also offer individual courses for:
- Appliance Installation
- Use of Multi, Insulation & Earth Loop Test Meters
- Ovens (ideal for oven cleaners)
- Microwaves
- Fridge Freezers
We also have an option for those with some practical experience, not necessarily in appliance repair to join each training course via video conference service such as Zoom. With this option you can participate in class discussions and follow along with the practical elements working on your own appliances. Look for the courses labelled Online.
